Linkwood 27 Yr

Crafted by Time: Exploring the Richness of 27-Year-Old Linkwood

WHISKY TASTING

San Unfiltered Erasani

10/12/2024

Color: Treacle

Price: $$$$

Nose: Lots of Plums, Soaked Raisins, Dark Fruits, feels Meaty, Licorice, more of those Rich fruits, some more figs in the end

Palate: A Little too hot on the first sip, the hotness kind of tapers down later, its meaty, chewy, full bodied, cloves, spicy, sweet but not over sweet, dark chocolates, more of that soaked raisins from the nose on to the palate, Maraschino cherries and some of that European oak spice

Finish: Very long finish, slightly astringent from the Oloroso and ends in nice warm spice. The dark fruits, figs, chocolate continue to linger. Just wow!!!

Final Thoughts:
This was a recently opened bottle and boy did it deliver, older Linwood's have always been by favorite and this one was just outstanding. Really savoring this tasting, If i had to just have one whisky for the rest of my life, this one probably would be one of the top 10 in that list. Glad i picked up this bottle when i did.

Score: 94/100
