Glenrothes : Whisky Makers Cut
Did it make our cut?
WHISKY TASTING

Color: Pale Gold
Price: $
Nose: Dates, Figs, Raisins, Some Vanilla, Light Spice & a very light Citrusy Orange peel on the backend.
Palate: The palate follows the nose here, the dark fruits, light spice, some vanilla and the citrus. you can feel younger whiskies in this. Lightly astringent.
Finish: Mid level finish, a light Sulphur note in the very end.
Final Thoughts:
Not very complex, No layers but its still very balanced. The younger whiskies make their presence known. I had some very good Glenrothes single casks, but this is not it. It feels more like a entry level offering to the single casks versions. Appreciate the natural color and the 48.8% ABV the Whisky maker decided on, to present this offering. Atleast for now, i dont think i would restock this bottle in my bar when this is over.
Score: 82/100
