Casey Jones Kentucky Straight Bourbon
3.6 yrs seriously? how good can it be?
WHISKY TASTING

Price: $
Color: Deep Rich Red Mahogany
Nose: Mellow Corn, Light Spice, Some Cinnamon, Vanilla, Light Oak, Some sweetness and may be a hint of Sandalwood of sorts.
Palate: Rich and Heav,y not very sweet. Palate follows the nose here, more of that mellow sweet corn, Viscous, some Dark Chocolate. Such a easy drinking dram, loving every sip of it. No alcohol bite at all for such a young spirit at the ABV. Lots of roasted Chocolate (reminds me of Glenmorangie Signet in some ways).
Finish: Ends in a long warm spice.
Final Thoughts:
Does not drink at all like a 3.6 yr bourbon. Sure some magic from the Square pot still and the exceptional picking from the store at the hands of the master distiller, Arlon Casey Jones. Just simply superb, what an exceptional dram at the price. Superb store pick. Just astounded at what a great young whisky can deliver.
Score: 89/100 (Solid Dram)

His square pot still, also known as a coffin still, fit perfectly in the bed of a wagon or a pickup truck, a definite plus when a moonshiner needed to make a fast getaway and didn’t want to leave the tools of his trade behind. Casey also put handles on his stills in all the right places so they would be easy to move. He recognized that the condenser was the most important piece of the still, so it had its very own handle so that in case of a raid, it could be the first piece out. https://www.caseyjonesdistillery.com/our-story
