WHISKY TASTING

Color: Deep Copper
Price: $$$
Nose: Toffee, slight grassy note, dried figs, caramel, nutmeg, cloves, malty, plums, raisins, stronger abv on the nose. Fresh cracked bottle, the grassy note was a little stronger, but it subsided in subsequent tastings
Palate: Initially feels a little thin on the palate, Nice spice, richness, You can feel that its an older whisky, its waxy, peppery, light Orange citrus, some light honey and toffee on the backend.. but the spice is nice an lingering
Finish: Nice and long, the spice stays on for a long time. More on the back top palate. Really nice, not sweet or astringent, its well balanced.
Final Thoughts:
When i Initially cracked this bottle open, the grassy note on the nose was strong, initially it was hard to go past it. But letting the glass sit and aerate really helps it on the nose. Subsequent tasting, the grassy note is less present. Initially tasting almost made it feel like a springbank expression. Overall very nice, balanced. Relax and enjoy this one. The prices have gone up on this in recent months, but if you can still find a bottle at a reasonable price, you wont regret picking this one up.
