Nose: Sweet smoke, bon fire, ashy, maritime salty, sea salt and sea spray, some green pines and some herbal tea, some burnt pineapple and other tropical fruits, just the smell is making me salivate…Nose makes me feel this one has some heft to it, lets see.
Palate: Very smooth, oily, lemony peel, that maritime salty, sea spray comes on to the palate very nice, very waxy, getting some iodine, some medicinal notes, some spice, some white chocolate, a hint of ash and tar. Some more of that chocolate, there is lots going on … lot of drama…loving it !!!
Finish: The sea salt maritime finish stays with you for a long time, its makes you want to kinda bite into the whisky.. its chewy.. waxy..very nice happy finish. You get some faint tropical fruits in the end when the sea spray kinda mellows down
Final Thoughts: Very nice, absolutely a banger of a whisky, there is lots going on…there is lots of drama… it’s like waves of flavors.. between the maritime smoke, ash, salty, and the fruits, chocolate. Loved drinking this one, this is one of those, you sip it slowly and you enjoy it for a long time, the finish is really long and makes you wanting to go back for more.
